My name is Kris Dan Ye de Haas

I am a concept artist for characters and enviroments. Designing with visual storytelling in mind is important to me.
Lately I've been interested in learning more about colours and how we can use them to tell a story.
Being able to tell stories through visual communication is something I am really interested in .

Currently I'm studying Game Art in The Netherlands at HKU.

Where does "Dankye" come from? Dan + first letter of my name + ye.

For my designs I just love to make everyday things a little bit more special. I think there is a lot of charm in taking everyday people and trying to incorporate bits of their personality into their design. A keychain, stickers, etc. I like to imagine a little backstory for every design that I do, they have likes and dislikes. I think it's important to keep that in mind when designing.

Started doing art around 2020 and have never looked back since. I've learned a lot and can't wait to learn even more. Honestly, it is super cool to just listen to others talk about a subject and notice how much they know.
